Ich sag nur: Experiment missglückt
Ephraim Beks, Rob Uncles, Dax O'Callaghan, Nye Oakley und Jerome Simeon: So heißen die neuen Popsternchen Lexington Bridge, wobei heißen bei diesen Fakenamen-verdächtigen-Namensgebilden wohl eher das falsche Wort ist. Auch wenn sich bestimmt schon bald wieder dieses Projektchen von selbst zerschießen wird und dann den Kiddies dieser Bravo- und YAM-Welt mitgeteilt wird, dass sich die Band zerstritten hat, weil Robbielein seine Chucks nicht geputzt hat und die so stark gestunken haben, dass dann Muskelprötzelein Jerome sich so sehr darüber aufgeregt hat, dass seine aufgeblasenen Muskeln geplatzt sind, widme ich mich doch einfach mal diesem Boyband ähnlichen Gebilde.
Starten möchte ich mit einem kleinen Medley, warum die Kiddies dieser Welt die Jungs so toll finden. Dazu habe ich einfach mal im Fanclübchen vorbei geschaut und das Folgende ist bei meiner kleinen Visite mir sofort in die Augen gefallen: „Was findet Ihr denn so cool an Rob? Finde das Rob ein echt Hammer Name ist!“, schreibt da ein Mädel. Ein anderes ein paar Themen weiter: „Ich mag den Nye ganz gern. Er kann so sexy gucken!“ Wieder 2 Klicks später lese ich dann: „Also ich find Jerome echt hot. Sowieso, wenn er grinst...“ Und auch um Dax-Fans habe ich mich gekümmert und diese schreiben: „Am geilsten ist Dax "Moonwalk"!“
Aha, deswegen lieben wir also neuerdings Bands. Die Musik, die ist doch unwichtig. Drauf geschissen! Heute geht es um fette Namen, sexy Männlein, die auch noch ein bisschen rumhüpfen können und dann sind die Trittbrettfahrer-Bravonachläufer-Fans dabei.
Die Ballermann-Sänger, Schuh- und Toilettenputzer von morgen brachten am 02.03. ihre erste Platte raus und die hat es in sich: Wir sehen einen Punk – der mit dem coolen Namen – mit seinen, sagen wir mal, angedichteten Freunden eine Choreographie tanzen. „Kick Back“ heißt das Stück Keine-Musikgeschichte und ich sag euch in 2 Wochen liegt dieser Pseudo-Pop-HipHop-Mix, der sogar diesen echt einfach zu kopierenden Musikrichtungen nicht gerecht wird, auf den 50-Cent-Tischen der Plattenläden.
Der Song und die ganze Band ist einfach zu sehr wie all die anderen. Es ist einfach eine Neuabmischung von Us5 und co und der Style ist einfach zu nah an dem, was die anderen weit erfolgreicher schon länger machen. Bitte nicht missverstehen: Ich finde auch die genannten Us5 nicht besser, aber da wirkt das Ganze weit authentischer und abnehmbarer. Außerdem wirken die 5 einfach viel zu zusammengewürfelt und es ist keinerlei Grund zu erkennen, warum man diese Band toll finden sollte, denn alles hat man woanders schon viel besser gesehen.
Und liebe Kiddies, bevor ihr jetzt mit einem „Machts doch du einfach besser!" kommt, dann sag ich nur: Gebt mir einen Plattenvertrag und dann beweise ich euch das gerne und haha, ihr werdet meine Fans sein, denn bei der Bravo kenne ich jemanden und das zählt ja neben coolen Namen – ich heiße dann übrigens Sebastiano Henselitsch – und ein bisschen Tanzen, was ich doch auch hinbekommen sollte.

Warum müsst ihr denn eure Kommentare Anonym verfassen? Steht ihr nicht dazu, dass ihr Fans dieser Band seid?
Mal ehrlich: Diese Jungs sind doch lediglich Interpreten, keine echten Musiker, geschweige denn Künstler. Sie bekommen einen Song vorgelegt, singen diesen im Studio ein, treten ein paar Mal irgendwo auf und das wars dann. Sie schreiben ihre Songs nicht selbst und Instrumente können sie warscheinlich auch nicht spielen. Das Komemrzielle steht dabei, wie so häufig, im Vordergrund. Traurig sowas, aber naja ...
Ich bestreite nicht, dass du Recht hast - allerdings hast du in deiner Argumentation Vieles nicht berücksichtigt. Beispielsweise braucht jede Generation ihre Idole und in dieser Zeit sind es nunmal solche wie LxB, US5 oder TH. Irgendwann wächst jeder aus dieser Phase heraus, aber lass doch die Jungen jung sein. Jeder braucht im Leben eine Orientierungsphase. Außerdem zeigen Bands wie US5 oder Tokio Hotel mittlerweile Alterungserscheinungen, also wurde der Geist der Zeit von Universal erfasst und halt eine neue Boyband aufgesetzt. Sie mag auf den ersten (und vielleicht auch den zweiten) Blick "zusammengewürfelt" erscheinen, jedoch ist es ein neuer Versuch, sich auf die Zielgruppe (junge Mädchen im Alter von 12-20) abzustimmen. Die Musikbranche ist immernoch in der Experimentierphase und wird es auch immer sein, denn Kultur ist immer auf der Suche nach Neuem. Was spricht also dagegen, dass nicht verschiedene Herangehensweisen getestet werden sollen - Erfahrung darf doch immer gesammelt werden.

@ dixiehai: Ich stimme dir teilweise zu, aber es ist doch nunmal Tatsache, dass die Musikbranche immer mehr kommerzialisiert wird, dass wollte ich damit ausdrücken. Der eigentliche Gedanke "Musik zu machen" steht heute nicht mehr im Vordergrund (nur bei "richtigen" Musikern und nicht irgendwelchen zusammengewürfelten- oder gecasteten Pop-Bands). Ich verstehe nicht, wie sich eine Generation, solche Typen, als Vorbild nehmen kann. Aber im Grunde, könnte man sich darüber stundenlang aufregen - es wird solche Art von Bands auch in Zukunft weiterhin geben und der Kommerz dringt leider immer weiter in das Musikbiz vor.
